Ok dun get me wrong I'm just overwhelmed cos I've been reading non-stop about child pornography in Japan since yesterday! My eyes are now rolling out of their sockets!
The interesting thing is the history of pornography in Japan! haha Started in the Edo period, pornography existed in wooden pictorials called Shunga. Basically during that period, Edo was consisted of mostly men, who travelled from all over Japan to work or to learn who to write and read etc. So all these men without the chance to meet the right gal in a male populated city, they turn to prostitution and PORN! haha so tats how porn become so popular! As you know Japan is the place where people visits public baths and parade with their genitalz hanging out totally no religious or social taboos attached to nudity. So porn is widely accepted into the mainstream! haha
Porn at that time, like now, had various genres of sexual acts, heterosexual, homosexual and even animism. And the people viewing porn come from everywhere, different age groups, genders, social classes etc. It was even rumoured that in laws give the wives shunga when they marry.
It was until the Meiji Restoration period that the Japanese government decided to practice censorship. This is because they are worried what the European countries would think of them. This persists till now, tats why when you watch jap porn now, unless it is meant to be circulated overseas, the genitals would be censored/mosaiced.
This is also the time where they start to use other forms of things to represent penetration. Like octapuses attacked (raping) a woman.
Right now, the west have a negative connotation of Japanese porn. Basically they think Japanese are sadistic people who enjoys weird stuff like rape and SM (sado-masochism). But this is not really true. Because of the language barrier, alot of the storylines for their porn are removed to avoid BORING the audience! So the only parts they show are sex, sex and more SEX! haha So thats what caused the misunderstanding...
Well after so much, I'm still not very sure what's up with people's liking for child porn! haha hmm but i suppose that is like asking why some people dun eat seafood... So yes after reading 125143million texts and articles on Japan and child pornography, I have a stand. I think the production, distribution and possession of child porn of any kind, anime, manga, games etc, should be banned all together. I mean it totally traumatises the children! It also endangers children's life! I agree that watching porn (any kind of porn) is a way for someone to release the urges/desires/needs. It acts as a healthy way of release so people wont really go COMMIT the act. But I also think there are some people who after watchin porn, would start having weird ideas on what they will do. I mean like some media theories we learnt, I agree that media do influence to a certain extent, our actions and the way we think. I mean, after watching too much bimbo shows, you will tend to suddenly speak and act like them. I dun mean like u become TOTALLY brainless or a zombie devoid of your own thoughts but it jus becomes part of you... the cultivation theory or something along those lines la... (Shit I need to study for my NM2101 real bad haha not even sure what I'm saying is correct or not... the only theory I know is the framing theory...)
Ohkay.. so as i was sayin, porn might act as an outlet for people but it might also lead to real physical sexual attacks on people. Furthermore, children are so young and vulnerable, the more we should protect them from such predators. Hence I agree tat Japan should take a stand and ban possession of all child pornographic material, even if the images are not of real children.
So yes fyi I'm so dead this week, I have this NM3210 Cybercrime project due next tues (I so dunno how to do this project!!! so stress! I feel like i'm writing a summary which is not the case for a research paper!!!), A Film and History assignment due this Fri 12noon and NM2216 and NM3210 tutorial assignments to do by fri as well... Not to mention I gotta do research or something for my NM2101 project as well... and my NM3223 exhibition this week!!! So NO TIME!!! I got an interview on sat morning, Jiamin's Bday on sat nite! (havent buy her present yet!!!) (thank god I said I'm quitting cheerleading if not it would be worst... totally cram to the max!)
Luckily I am going to watch the free Max Payne movie screening tonight with my banana!!! haha (Ok after all these porn things i just realised how inappropriate that sounds...) haha I think I wrote a mini essay already!
Oh haha I'm also now super into Christina Aguilera's Keep Getting Better song and Tokio Hotel's Don't Jump (an emo song! haha ok I've been listening to them for awhile already but I jus wanted to mention it cos they are not very mainstream now...)

LONG STORY!!!
HELLO!!! It has been ages since I last updated something on this!
So as you know school has started and since i'm unable to multi-task, I'm having difficulty balancing EVERYTHING! So here are some of the things that I am gonna do or is doing...
First, some of you might know, I'm now a CHEERLEADER! haha NO! it wont be another dragon boat incident! I'm gonna stay through and get my hot bod! haha
Secondly, I'm gonna join MUAY THAI also! haha SO COOL RITE! I tell you after this sem, I'm so gonna get banging hot Michael Phelps-ish ABS and biceps of a STACEY LOPEZ!
Thirdly, highly motivated by BETTY BENJI and STACEY LOPEZ's speedy improvement in DRIVING! I'm gonna be starting on my driving lessons SOON! Tomorrow marks my first driving lesson! So watch out F1! Here I come!
Fourth, since I have so much bills to pay, I'm gonna work! Not everyday cos of shit loads of assignments and projects on my hand this sem... So good luck SY! Hope we can be COLLEAGUES!
Fifth, like I said this sem I'm doing 2 non examinable mods so it's gonna be damn busy for me throughout... Just last fri, I submitted a 500 word assignment already... I know so SOON RITE?! Unbelievable... But DEAN'S LIST here i come! *keeps my fingers crossed HAHA*
Sixth, how can I hav no social life?! So no worries beautiful people! You all will get a piece of me! I'll make time for you all! haha
Lastly, how can I neglect my animes, mangas and american tv?! I mean september is the time where 90210 2.0 is debuting! And also Season 2 of GOSSIP GIRLS, Desperate Housewives, Heroes, Ugly Betty(I think) and MANY MORE!!! haha CANT WAIT!
Ya so you see! with so much on my hands you can only understand how busy I am! So it's not that I'm neglecting people or being non-proactive k! If I didnt msg or ask you all out means I'm BUSY! So forgive me! ASK ME OUT! haha
Oh and since STACEY keeps commenting how her ear drums are bursting with my loud music, I've decided to remove it... haha I agree it does get kinda annoying after awhile... Oh and talking bout music, I'm rite now super into this new emo-ish song, Greg Laswell's cover of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Yes I know this is a super upbeat happy song by Cyndie Lauper but his rendition is jus so sad! So emo-ish! Tat I'm feeling emo hearing it! And so this is my emo song of this sem! haha
Oh and I forgot to mention I'm right now having The Hills marathons haha trying to catch up to season 4... I hope there will be some one uploading season 3 cos now there are only 2 episodes... The Hills is so NICE and DRAMA! haha GO WATCH PEOPLE!!!
And this reminds me... Some of you might have heard about my ENCOUNTER last thursday... *plays X-Files theme song* So last thursday when I was walking home in the morning, I heard the sound of water hitting the ground aka PEEING! *GASP* Ya so as I approach my house cautiously, I looked over to my left and I saw the most unsightly thing EVER!!! A NAKED MAN!!! He was in this squatting/shitting position with nothing on except his pants around his ankles and when he noticed me he STOP and STARED at me! *plays Onerepublic song, OMG! the song is so apt for this moment!*
SO yes back to the story, I opened my house door but kept checking if he was still there... and everytime I looked over, I would see him STARIN at me!!! *the HORRORS!!! DUM DUM DUM DUMMMMMM!!!!* So I hurriedly entered my house worrying if he would come touch me with his DIRTY HANDS! But I still kept peeping out to see if he was still there... So after a few peeps, I told my grandma about it and she immediately went hysterical and ran out of the house shouting and scolding at the guy.... (Oh maybe I should mention, the guy is NOT an old man he is somewhere around MY age I think... So ya he might not be THAT crazy as well cos apparently he could converse, deny showing his IC to us, and run when I called the police)
So yes after awhile, my grandmother went back in the house and grabbed the phone, I took the phone and called the cops and the next thing I know, he disappeared without a trace leaving nothing but his rather big pool of URINE and SHIT! Fortunately we didnt have to clean it ourselves, the cops came after like HALF AN HOUR LATER!!! and said they would ask the town council people to clean it up for us... So yes my life has so much DRAMA!!! haha
Oh one more thing, B2! THIS IS WAR!!! How can you post and tag such HIDEOUS pics of me!!! You are so gonna be the next EDISON CHEN or Dawn Yang! It is situations like these that cause those photos to be leaked!

SINGFEST!!!
OMG!!!
I knew the Indonesia trip next week was not good when it clashed with my Oweek, bidding, being rite before sch, missing the Simbiosis anniversary/Wii day, missing Hannah's Birthday, missing F.I.R. concert and now I am missing one more thing! And it's SUPER BIG AND UBER COOL!!!
Becos I'm flying this Sunday afternoon, I am now gonna miss my chance at going to SINGFEST!!! Sponsored by Heineken, my dad will have free tix now and I CAN'T GO!!! For the second day tat is... can still go for the first day but... I already got something on on saturday so... ARGHH!!!!! SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS!!!

From Taiwan to US to Tokyo (EDITED)
GUESS WHO'S BACK!
Haha ya I know he has been back close to a week already but YANWEI aka TARZAN aka DD is finally back from Taiwan and the trio is having so much fun together! haha We have so much fun shopping/window shopping and eating and playing Mahjong [did I mention that if we were playin money that day, I might hav been the BIGGEST WINNER?! Cos I got a super ownage set of tiles! I got a GREEN ONE COLOR (Qing Yi Se ALL bamboos) Ping Who with no flowers and ZHI MOH!!! SO much TAI la!!! win money like siao! haha but no man I am no gambler so no regrets man haha jus wanna showoff to ya'll only! hehe (mimicking Joanna's laughter)] and broadening our social network haha by meeting frens of our frens! I even played BASKETBALL with Anli's JC frens! haha it was hilarious cos DD and I were so not dressed for the impromtu crashing of the sports event of this year!
But the sad thing is he is back so close to us returning back to sch man... but no worries if everything goes according to plan for my bidding, I would have the best timetable yet! haha For some of you who might not know... Due to my bad planning skills, I have very bad timetables for the past 2 sems already... So now is the time for me to get at least a 4 day sch week! haha Wish me luck!
And I dunno why but whenever school reopens, I find myself havin a brand new list of shows to watch and when I was havin my holidays, I did nothing about the shows... SUCKS!
Anyways, I'm FINALLY DONE with LOST and Prison Break! Both are such nice shows! I hope Lost will return with a final season to explain EVERYTHING!!! Cos after watching the finale, everything boils back down to the island being a MIRACLE ISLAND!!! I mean WTF la! I dun watch a show for 4 seasons (4 years) to find out that the island is jus magically there and possess weird miraculous abilities that heals people and disrupts time! And although Prison Break still makes you sit at the edge of your seat whenever you watch it, but the problem is... THEY R CONSTANTLY GOING BACK INTO JAIL!
And I can't wait for the new season of Gossip Girl and the season premier of 90210 2.0!!! Shannen Doherty (coolest witch from my favourite TV show ever, Charmed!) would reprise her role in it! COOL STUFF!!!
Ok enough of American TV... Coming back to the east, some super cool and nice animes are now my MUST SEE!!! haha After having 173627episodes of fillers in both Naruto and Bleach, I decided to pick up these two other anime! Both my kind of anime, which is people with POWERS! haha
The first anime is Soul Eater. Yes the drawings and storyline is alittle kiddish and WTH-ish... but I LOVE THE DRAWINGS AND HUMOUR!!! The drawings remind me of Dr. Seuss's art! So cute! haha And the entire anime is jus weirdly funny! haha Simple and light hearted to the max! Love the characters and stuff but I already have my favourite character! If you know me well enough, you would know what kind of characters I like haha Basically the anime is about students in this shinigami school... they (the meister and their partner, one which transforms into their weapon) mus fight and devour 99 souls and 1 witch soul to become the Death Scythe... Nothing too gruesome here jus reminiscent of Shaman King or Full Metal Alchemist... (both are not bad but lousy endings... my god I jus realised how many animes have I watched!!! N I'm not done listing them yet! haha)
The second anime is Tokyo Majin Gakuen. This anime is UBER COOL! It's like a less kiddish version of Gatekeepers (another fav anime of mine)! It's about these 5 students who possess super powers and fight monsters/ghosts/spirits/caspers etc... Like the whole movie-like scenes and stuff and how they tell the story... Just leaves you wanting more! GO WATCH!!! haha This one is more adult/mature (in terms of the art and storyline I guess)...
Oh and was reading thru Perez Hilton's website and chanced upon this super nice song! Momma's Boy by Chromeo! Go listen! or you can find it in my playlist below!
Oh and Chun Yuan tagged some super ugly pics of me from dunno when! haha Sucks la! SO UGLY!!! Dun look at them in facebook! I look like a stranger!

The Dark Knight
haha I like this photo on top cos I think I look skinny in them! hahaTHE DARK KNIGHT ROCK!!!
Attention Joanna: Proceed with caution when reading this entry for it is gonna be about The Dark Knight... I hope I didn't reveal anything about the movie just commenting on the characters n stuff... I dun think I mentioned anything about certain scenes or something in the movie so I think it should be ok for u but jus informing u cos u r watching the movie only on THURSDAY!!! which is so long!
OMG! The Dark Knight is seriously damn freaking super duper MAY-jorly SPLENDID!!! So nice la! The entire 2.5 hours are totally worth the money and it didn't feel too long! It leaves u wanting more! hmm ok maybe for me only la but seriously it's a truly amazing movie...
I love the new Batman movies cos their interpretation of Batman is jus so cool! It is like it is possible! Unlike other superhero movies like Spiderman or Superman where they have super powers and face super power foes, Batman faces normal people who are evil due to the evils of society! Which makes it so damn freaking cool!
The Joker acted by the late Heath Ledger is jus AWESOME! He totally owned Batman man... Stole the show... And another favourite character is Harvey Dent who later turned into Two-Face! Never really liked this obsessive compulsive behaviour character in the Batman cartoons or movies who has a thing for flipping coins... But in this movie everything changed! His story is jus awesome! They gave him a legit and relatively well reason to flip his coin to decide his choice of actions! And the scar is jus awesome... Love their interpretation of the entire movie and the characters jus awesome...
LOVE THE SHOW!!! However Batman jus seemed so boring compared to the two villians haha always so broody and conflicted... well he does have his cool emo moments which is philosophical as well... but the Joker's and Two-Face's jus seemed much better... Another thing I liked about this show is the time line involved is so close to the first movie! Which, to me, is kinda cool! It seemed more of a continuation rather than another movie set later after fighting normal foes and now another crazy psychotic mass killing monster is on the lose... I dunnoe what I am saying but I hope u understand cos I am jus amazed and in awe with the show I LIKE!!!
Hmm I have yet to draw anything for the Swakoo tee but I kinda have an idea what I wanna draw jus waiting for the and moment when I have the time to pick the pencil up and draw on an empty part of my already very filled sketch book... I need a new sketch book haha...

They gave him a legit and relatively well reason to flip his coin to decide his choice of actions! And the scar is jus awesome... Love their interpretation of the entire movie and the characters jus awesome...
LOVE THE SHOW!!! However Batman jus seemed so boring compared to the two villians haha always so broody and conflicted... well he does have his cool emo moments which is philosophical as well... but the Joker's and Two-Face's jus seemed much better... Another thing I liked about this show is the time line involved is so close to the first movie! Which, to me, is kinda cool! It seemed more of a continuation rather than another movie set later after fighting normal foes and now another crazy psychotic mass killing monster is on the lose... I dunnoe what I am saying but I hope u understand cos I am jus amazed and in awe with the show I LIKE!!!
Hmm I have yet to draw anything for the Swakoo tee but I kinda have an idea what I wanna draw jus waiting for the and moment when I have the time to pick the pencil up and draw on an empty part of my already very filled sketch book... I need a new sketch book haha...

Anyways she jus realised her new single backed by Candies (an American clothes brand) the song is mediocre but she is damn PRETTY INSIDE!!! haha I have a feeling I might grow to like the song... shit another trashy song... gotta get them out of my system man...

LATEST: Oh ya I forot to mention I saw Betty Benji in the theatres while the credits were rolling for the Dark Knight! He was with a group of young Jokers (they painted their faces and I wish I did too! haha it would have been so much fun!) when he saw me lookin back haha

I spy with my little eye...
AHHH!!!
Today the worst and most embarassing thing happened to me! I was on my way home after a hard morning BADminton workout with SH, Cindy and her God-Like-Somebody-Stop-Him boyfriend at Bukit Gombak Sports Center (Ok... I dunno why I travel ALL the way there just to play badminton but yes I did and this is not the first time... the things I do for my friends... I should get the NOBLE PRIZE!!!), I was listening to my ipod and singing and belting like a superstar and acting all Nikki Blonsky (the fat leading girl in the movie with the big hair... no not the older one, that is John Travolta guys...) in Hairspray the Musical, when I was SPOTTED by RIDZA CHEE WA WA on his bus ride down to Chinatown!!! THE HUMILIATION!!!
He still got the cheek to call and sms me that he spotted me in my red elmo tee and stop singing on the streets of Redhill! Such audacity! Now I feel like I'm being watched... I'm a CELEBRITY!!! My god... the story of my life... so much DRAMAAA!!!!
Anyways before ALL these drama things happened, I heard and watched the performance of the Pussycat Dolls' performing their new song 'When I Grow Up' on Jimmy Kimmel's and the VMAs and the song is awkwardly NICE! haha I so can relate with the song haha but the first few times I heard it, I keep hearing...
"When I grow up I wanna see the world I wanna drive nice cars I wanna have BOOBIES!"
HAHA I keep hearing that when it was playing on and on on youtube and Nicole Scherzinger is so HOT HOT HAWT!!! But so selfish of her to keep hogging the lime light when it is a Pussycat Dolls' performance and not a Nicole 'Failed solo career' Scherzinger's show...
Oh... and I have an idea of how my new big-head-emo-pupil-less-characters (I need a name for them sucks) is gonna look like it's gonna be a girl! haha and oh seems like the girls think the beanie hat one is a boy and the guys seem to think it's a girl... hmmm another example that guys and girls look at things differently...
